A bit of silly photoshop fun with some toys :D

Adding an explosive background and voila! :D

Gun flare and an overall bleach effect using levels and contrast controls.

Here's the original pic. Attempting my best Stallone face.
I stumbled across this toy from a cartoon series called Max Steel that my son and I have become quite hooked on.

Kit.

My humble kit for the last couple of years. A Canon 550D and a Macbook Air. I've been considering an upgrade but honestly, they have served me well, light to carry on my various motion graphics adventures, and I'm still amazed by what these things can do.
I tend to use an external monitor at the offices where I freelance. If a monitor isn't available I can hijack other Macs as a monitor with the thunderbolt cable. Handy dandy. :)

Worldmark Films

I'm currently working on some fun Monty Python inspired animations for Worldmark Films.
Cutting out lots of shapes in Photoshop and giving it what for in After Effects, bringing characters to life. Including a robot! :D

Character rigging! Parenting all the layers together. :)

Here's a screenshot of how the layers are parented to each other in After Effects. Very important to label everything!

British Heart Foundation

My latest motion graphics work for the British Heart Foundation. Directed by Miki Cash at Wonky Films.

Doing this project about 'No Smoking Day' was brilliant as it knocked some sense into me and got me to stop smoking. :)

Just finished the illustration and graphics on this poster. It's a stage adaptation of Going Postal by Terry Pratchett. This project was directed by Lisa Hamilton-James for ITV West.

This was the pencil and inking stage:

Here are some of my previous work for ITV West.
